Bobby Hudon (He/Him), (She/Her), (They/Them), (We/Our) is a proud Queer individual who was born and raised in Manitoba. With over 18 years of lived experience and involvement with 2SLGBTQIAP+ culture and communities, Bobby has dedicated most of their adult life as a Helper. They began working in the social field in Treaty 1 where they helped to build and nurture safe spaces and communities for urban 2SLGBTQIAP+ folks. Much of their work is founded in Indigenous Tradition and practices, as well as harm reduction principles. Bobby received their Spirit Name in a 2-Spirit Sweat at the Thunderbird Lodge in Winnipeg, MB. In 2019, Bobby made the life-changing decision to move to Treaty 3 to begin a life in Fort Frances, Ontario, where they continue to work as a Helper. Applying Teachings and experiences from the city to rural environments and First Nations across Canada, Bobby continues to provide immediate support to 2SLGBTQIAP+ folks, families, and Communities.Bobby is a mix of European descent with ancestors of Indigenous heritage on their mother’s side. While much is still unknown regarding the connection to their own Indigineity, Bobby continues to learn more about their Blood Memory through Ceremony and Connection to the Land and to Creator. Bobby carries a Traditional Bundle and works every day towards experiencing “Mino-Bimaadiziwin (“A Good Life””
