Lunch & Learn: History of Manitoulin & The Stages of Life

Facilitated by Henry Pitawanakwat

Henry Pitawanakwat is with the Three Fires Confederacy from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, and is very fluent in all dialects, which also includes Chippewa and Algonquin. With over 40 years of research experience, Henry has worked as an Archaeologist, an internship at the Museum of Civilization and is a member of translators for the Translation Bureau Government of Canada. Henry enjoys working with language and providing knowledge within his community and offers traditional teachings and knowledge through listening, sharing and the importance of connecting to the land.

Light snacks will be available for all participants prior to / following the Lunch and Learn session.
